Sunday 1st August 2010 YOUNG POP STARS COMPETITION, AYLESBURY...

Helen was on the judging panel at the 'Young Pop Stars' competition in Aylesbury today along with Mix 96 Radio DJ Adam, Morris and singer, Olivia Jane. There was a really high standard of performers but the overall winner was the very talented Jamie Walker.

    Monday 7th June 2010 NEW ALBUM AND COLLABORATIONS...

    Helen is working with Rachael Forsyth on a new album. They've been playing around with their sound for some time and feel most at home with light Jazz; so it's going to be a mixed album of songs and some a few instrumental pieces as well. Over the next few months, they'll be rehearsing their new material ready for recording in the Summer and Autumn. Helen has also been recording with violinist, Helen Barnes; one of the tracks featuring violin will be on the new album.

    Helen has recently been working with Oasis College, London, supervising joint Music and Theology dissertations on the youthwork and theology degree courses.

    Helen will be involved in recording project over the weekend - she will be part of the Festival Chorus for the premiere recording of Andrew Wainwright's and Duncan Gibbs' transcription of 'The Armed Man: A Mass For Peace' by Karl Jenkins. The King's Singers, Nicky Spence, and the Brass Band Aid Celebrity Band will also be performing in the recording. The CD will be released in October of this year and will be sold worldwide.     CHARITY SINGLE...

    Back in November of last year, Helen sang in the choir on a charity single in aid of the victims of the London Bombings on the 7th July 2005. The single entitled, the 'Spirit of London' is now available to download at a cost of £0.79p. Click the 'Spirit of London' icon to download the track.

    All proceeds from the 'Spirit of London' single will be donated to Charity (Brent Bereavement- registered charity #296229 - www.brentbereavement.org) to help the victims and all whom have been effected and suffered since.

    Helen is taking part in 'The Singer-Songwriter Awards 2006' competition hosted by 'We Are Listening'. The results will be announced in March 2006.

    Sunday 13th November 2005 SINGING ON A CHARITY SINGLE...

    Helen will be singing in the choir on a charity single in aid of the victims of the 7th July 2005 bombings in London. The single is called 'The Spirit of London' which will be recorded later this week. The song and video will be available to download from around £2 and details of how to obtain the recording will follow shortly. All money raised from the single will go to 'The London Victim Support Scheme' and to registered charities across the world that offer similar support.
